4 weeks old

On Sunday we took Maddie to Laguna Beach to grab some lunch and walk around... It ended up being way too hot out, so it didn't last long but we had fun!

I can't believe she is already 4 weeks old! What happened to the last 30 days????

To blog or not to blog...

That is the question....

Not that I won't ever blog again, but when it is between posting something new and exciting that has happened, or taking a nap, or even better-taking a shower, I am going to have to learn to prioritize.

I will say that Maddie is doing great.  She is such an amazing little girl, and I continue to be amazed by her every day.

At 3 weeks 1 day (today) She can completely lift and hold up her own head and has laughed at us a few times.  Depending on who you ask, they may tell you she just has gas, but I am pretty sure she knows how to smile and laugh.  She is pretty much a genius in my eyes :)

Madelynn Grace!!!

Madelynn Grace was born July 25th at 7:19pm. 

She weighs 7lb 1oz and is 19.5 inches long. 

She's PERFECT!

First Day home! 

When bad stretch marks happen to good people...

Well I am a few days late with this picture but here is what 38 weeks of pregnancy looks like- Not a pretty sight if you ask me, but I guess it means I am ALMOST DONE!

OH! And my chair came in! So excited, and now officially ready for Madelynn!

BABY!

Did I mention we are having a baby?!  Yes, Madelynn Grace will (or should I say, SHOULD) be here on July 28th... I said something to Jawad the other day along the lines of-- "She will be here in 3 weeks!" and his response was that I sounded like she was coming in from out of town... Whatever... My belly is considered out of town! In fact, it's so large now that may as well have taken residence in Ladera Ranch... So, yes dear, she is coming in from out of town... I just hope her flight is not delayed... I do not think I can withstand ANY unnecessary time with swollen feet, a VERY sore lower back, and all the other fun things a pregnancy does to your body... I am ready to meet her! Now with that being said, she does need to wait until at least the 25th, due to my bestest best friend's wedding in San Diego- I CANNOT wait, but I do think I will break records for world's fattest bridesmaid!  Hopefully she won't look back and regret asking me!!! :) Love ya, Trace!

We have finished enough of the home improvements, that I consider us to be done! Although really, we do have a lot more to finish... The kitchen cabinets and appliances need to be replaced- Appliances have been ordered, and cabinets need to be decided on.  I, however, have retired from anything home improvement related for a few weeks, which I am certain will turn in to months with Maddie coming, but I just don't have it in me to deal with anything new right now... I mean, I am having a baby in 3 weeks! I need to nest and clean, not tear out and get dirty! Well, that's my thought process anyway.  Don't get me wrong, I cannot wait to replace all the cabinets, but can't someone else deal with it while I go on vacation?! 

Madelynn's room is now complete- sort of.  I waited until the last minute to order the chair for her room, and when I say last minute, I mean I placed a special order that was 10 weeks out with only 11 weeks of pregnancy left.  So we may or may not have the chair in her room prior to her delivery, or we may be picking it up on the way home from the hospital, but hey- at least I remembered to order it (something that does not come easy these days).

It's been a while since I have last blogged but I have been busy busy busy.... Getting ready for Maddie is not an easy task ;-) We have had lots to do but are so excited for all the fun times to come!  

A few weeks ago my besties threw me an absolutely beautiful baby shower! We had a great time... I am so lucky to have such amazing friends!

What an amazing day!

A week later my Mother-in-Law threw me a shower as well for family and it was a blast! Not to mention the yummiest of food! We ate at Buca di Beppo and had LOTS of fun...
