When bad stretch marks happen to good people...

Well I am a few days late with this picture but here is what 38 weeks of pregnancy looks like- Not a pretty sight if you ask me, but I guess it means I am ALMOST DONE!

OH! And my chair came in! So excited, and now officially ready for Madelynn!

BABY!

Did I mention we are having a baby?!  Yes, Madelynn Grace will (or should I say, SHOULD) be here on July 28th... I said something to Jawad the other day along the lines of-- "She will be here in 3 weeks!" and his response was that I sounded like she was coming in from out of town... Whatever... My belly is considered out of town! In fact, it's so large now that may as well have taken residence in Ladera Ranch... So, yes dear, she is coming in from out of town... I just hope her flight is not delayed... I do not think I can withstand ANY unnecessary time with swollen feet, a VERY sore lower back, and all the other fun things a pregnancy does to your body... I am ready to meet her! Now with that being said, she does need to wait until at least the 25th, due to my bestest best friend's wedding in San Diego- I CANNOT wait, but I do think I will break records for world's fattest bridesmaid!  Hopefully she won't look back and regret asking me!!! :) Love ya, Trace!

We have finished enough of the home improvements, that I consider us to be done! Although really, we do have a lot more to finish... The kitchen cabinets and appliances need to be replaced- Appliances have been ordered, and cabinets need to be decided on.  I, however, have retired from anything home improvement related for a few weeks, which I am certain will turn in to months with Maddie coming, but I just don't have it in me to deal with anything new right now... I mean, I am having a baby in 3 weeks! I need to nest and clean, not tear out and get dirty! Well, that's my thought process anyway.  Don't get me wrong, I cannot wait to replace all the cabinets, but can't someone else deal with it while I go on vacation?! 

Madelynn's room is now complete- sort of.  I waited until the last minute to order the chair for her room, and when I say last minute, I mean I placed a special order that was 10 weeks out with only 11 weeks of pregnancy left.  So we may or may not have the chair in her room prior to her delivery, or we may be picking it up on the way home from the hospital, but hey- at least I remembered to order it (something that does not come easy these days).

It's been a while since I have last blogged but I have been busy busy busy.... Getting ready for Maddie is not an easy task ;-) We have had lots to do but are so excited for all the fun times to come!  

A few weeks ago my besties threw me an absolutely beautiful baby shower! We had a great time... I am so lucky to have such amazing friends!

What an amazing day!

A week later my Mother-in-Law threw me a shower as well for family and it was a blast! Not to mention the yummiest of food! We ate at Buca di Beppo and had LOTS of fun...

I am sitting home waiting for the city inspector to show up to APPROVE our downstairs bathroom (insert prayers and good wishes here) which by the way, still looks like THIS! 

Got the coffee pot on and hoping who ever shows up is in a good mood and/or just feels bad for me for looking like I do... 

Which brings me to my next point, I have a very hard time posting pictures of ME.  I know I know, I have a baby in there, but she weights a whole 3 pounds... My scale seems to feel differently... This is how my camera feels at 29 weeks 3 days... You be the judge...

My amazing, wonderful husband bought me the new laptop I wanted, and in good time too! I didn't have to go for too long without a computer, as mine broke just last week...

So much to update on...

First and Foremost-- We only have 13 weeks to go! I feel disgusting, but for those of you don't see us very often, I will put my self image aside and post a picture at 27 weeks...

2nd update- Our house is almost done!!!!!!! I soooo wish we would have taken more "before" pictures of everything, but as Jawad likes to say, I don't think we really want to remember what everything used to look like... I will post a bunch of pictures of the house once all the paint is done (should be next week) 

3rd update-- Spring has Sprung!!!! If has officially warmed up just enough to enjoy the pool! 

No... Not me.... The dogs... Not that it needs to be warm for them, but I am sure they are happier when it's at least tolerable... 

So that's all for now... I am sure i will have plenty of pictures to post next week when the house is all finished! I just can't wait for Madelynn's room to be complete so I can start putting it all together! :) 

My computer is broken!! :(

Hence, the lack in posts/pictures... So until this shows up at my door step, I will be light on the posts...

A quick update however on where we are at-- All the flooring is done!!!! Travertine downstairs, wood upstairs... Downstairs bathroom, still looks the same, as we have not yet completed the process of getting the permit... Madelynn's (spelling to be determined) bathroom is almost done, however... Just need to tile the floor, so we can put the vanity and toliet in....

Hopefully the house will be finished in the next few weeks, so I can finally relax before she gets here!!!! Ill post some pictures of the house and the belly when my fairy god mother shows up at my doorstep with a new computer!!
